Anne-Marie Deitering

Oregon State University Libraries and Press
Associate University Librarian
Anne-Marie is the Franklin A. McEdward Professor for Undergraduate Learning Initiatives at Oregon State University Libraries and Press and the current Chair of the Libraries’ Teaching and Engagement Department. AT Oregon State, she serves on the university Curriculum Council, works closely with the composition program and is a founding member of U-Engage, OSU’s First-Year Seminar program. Her research focuses on in-depth, qualitative investigations of student research behavior and she is increasingly fascinated by the interplay between the affective and cognitive dimensions of learning. She is happy to spend hours discussing the benefits of critically reflective practice. She thinks on these topics often, and writes about them (occasionally) at info-fetishist.org, and on Twitter as @amlibrarian.

Anne-Marie received an MA in American History from Syracuse University and her MLS from Emporia State University.
