Visual Stories - Putting the Sexy Back in Assessment

Having goals for the future can be magic!  Whether you have goals for your library, your department, or specifically for yourself, this session will help you map out ways of visualizing those goals.
After looking at examples of annual reports summarized in infographics and data dashboards, participants will start out by sketching the "dream" infographic for their library 6 years from now. Using that sketch as a starting point, we'll look at different ways of comparing our data, visualizing our data, and using online tools for creating the graphics. Along the way, participants will build out a rough assessment plan to help them get started toward achieving the data visual of their dreams. We will finish with a gallery walk to learn from each other by seeing how neighbors represented their libraries in their infographic sketches.
