Lessons in Leadership: Stories from the Field

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Academic library leadership lessons are not just for librarians in management positions. At all levels of our institutions and organizations, librarians and staff are leading and managing initiatives and making critical decisions that affect the direction of those entities. Yet, not all of those who are leading organizational change (from the top, middle or elsewhere) have the opportunity to benefit from often-costly professional development training. A panel of librarians and library staff will share their stories of leadership development through a variety of formal and informal training and professional development opportunities and address how they applied leadership lessons in their everyday work and in their work with the professional associations they serve.,
