Crowdfunding Your Story
Crowdfunding sounds too good to be true, but libraries of all sizes are using crowdfunding options to supplement collections, expand services, and instill a sense of ownership among library patrons and donors. Learn how Josephine County raised over $40,000 through Oregon's Kitchen Table with Josephine Community Libraries Executive Director Kate Lasky, and how Oregon Hops and Brewing Archives established stronger relationships with donors and patrons through crowdfunding with OSU Archivist for Instruction and Outreach Tiah Edmunson-Morton. Wendy Willis, Director of Civic Engagement at PSU's National Policy Consensus Center, will provide the basics on crowdfunding and how libraries can harness this new platform to further the public good.
